CRIF Ratings, a CRIF company, is a credit rating agency authorized to assign ratings to non-financial companies based in the European Union in the form of debt instrument ratings and issuer ratings. The agency is subject to supervision by the ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority), the authority that contributes to safeguarding the stability of the European Union's financial system.

CRIF Ratings has been recognized as an ECAI (External Credit Assessment Institution) in accordance with European Regulation 575/2013 and the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council 2013/36/EU, enabling all the ratings issued by CRIF Ratings to be used by banks, insurance companies and financial institutions for the determination of capital requirements for solvency purposes.

Account Information Service Provider (AISP)

Through the acquisition of Credit Data Research Realtime Holdings Ltd. now CRIF Realtime Ltd., CRIF has become the first player in the credit information sector to be registered as an AISP. Registered in both the UK and EU CRIF operates as an AISP in 31 European countries.
